First of all… thanks in advance for having/mixing Rachel’s Hippo. We have a ton of fun at this gig and it's always a pleasure to play. We have attached our "sound rider" for you. Please, PLEASE … P L E A S E DO NOT take this as a big ego thing on our part. We just want to HELP by giving you a "heads up" of what we need to do the show and what / who will be on stage.

If we are providing our own sound: please note the following power requirements. We need 60 amps of clean 120V power. At least one of these circuits needs to be 20 amps and available for the EXCLUSIVE use of Rachel's Hippo. Other circuits can be shared but we NEED a total of 60 amps. If we are doing an outdoor show and generator power is to be used, the generator must meet the following specifications:

• It must be able to provide 15,000 watts of 120v, single phase power.
• It must have protection against voltage surges.
• It must have voltage tolerance of +/- 3%.
• It must maintain 60 cycles +/- 0%.
• The generator must be chassis grounded by means of a copper rod driven at least three (3) feet into the earth.

We will not use small portable generators of the type that are used for camping, welding, etc... We suggest you contact Altorfer Power Systems in Bartonville, IL at (309) 697-1234.

If you are providing our sound: in general we're going to take what we can get… do the best we can with what we've got… etc… However, minimally the band needs a biamped 12 channel PA system with subwoofers, in good working order, capable of delivering full bandwidth, clear sound at 105dB (+6dB headroom) to the mix position. We’re running MI grade stuff, so there’s no need to demand Midas, Lab and EAW now is there? But if you have it we'll use it!! =)

Five (5) monitor mixes are needed. All members of Rachel’s Hippo prefer properly limited In Ear Monitoring Systems.

We just want to have a good show and sound the best we can. Hopefully, this helps to make your job as easy as possible. Thanks for reading. Again, thanks for having / mixing us.
