Rolling Into Summer!
Sorry for the slow update - but Rachel did a double header this past weekend - and then she ended up illin'... and that will put the brakes on any HTML ambition that she may have ever shown on her best day.
Quick recap of the weekend: big thanks to our friends from JammSammich and Bubblegum Jack who both played EARLY shows in Pekin and were able to make it out to 'Fella's for some Hippo. BriSam - sorry I couldn't make the nightcap, but poor Rachey figured it was past bedtime just as she hit Auto Row!
Saturday night found Rach and company on the big PA with blinky lights at Crusen's on War Drive. We had a blast and it was fun to sound "big and badass" out front.
The next couple weeks will be slow for public consumption of Hippo. We're doing some private events, fly in gigs... you know basic rock star type crap. However, we will be back on May 23 from 5:30 to 6:30 - for Louie Louie. This has been a Hippo tradition for several years now, so we can't wait to get outside!!
